Ingest Star is a standalone application for dubbing the material from tapes to video servers. Live recordings are also supported. Ingest Manager has an access to the main database, dub list data (Item ID, IN Address and Duration) can be loaded from the playlists avoiding users having to retype them manually.
One Ingest Manager can control up to four VTR -> video server channel ingest pairs simultaneously. Every Ingest Panel holds one ingest pair and can be configured at runtime without necessity to restart the Ingest Manager. Various configurations are supported including channels on different video servers. Multiple Ingest Managers can be used to obtain more ingest pairs.
